Luisa Marten

Luisa Marten completed her BA and MA in Social and Cultural Anthropology with a focus on (audio-)visual ethnography at LMU Munich, including a study abroad at the University of Oslo. Her research focus has been on historical and archival ethnography, visual and material culture, and the Southeast Asian and Indian Ocean region. During her studies she co-produced a movie about socio-ecological transformation in the Munich area. She has been working as a museum pedagogue for the MPZ (Munich Center for Museum Education) and is currently completing her certificate in museum work with the Bavarian Museum Academy. In her PhD research, Luisa combines her interest in museums and archives as places of knowledge production with present debates about globalization and (post-)colonialism. Since October 2022 she has been part of the ERC research group as web content editor.
